Stream Lining Makeup Part 9 #single #eyeshadows #pigments

You know what I realized? I'm not a singular eyeshadow kind of girl. I usually reach for palettes that I can create full looks with. That said I knew it was time to say goodbye and declutter! #colourpop shadows are great to use on the lid, and I love the collaborations they have done with beauty influencers like #KathleenLights, however, they dry out quickly if not closed immediately and properly. Don't get me wrong, the price is right and the quality is spot-on but it's just not for me at this point. I do however love me some pigments like my favorite #Mac one in the shade Tan. I also am really loving #TheBalm pigments.  The only single eyeshadow I am hanging onto is the #Kiko one in the shade number 208 which is a #dupe for the #limitededition #MacHighlighter in the shade #WhisperofGuilt. Hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. I'll be heading over to Instagram live at 7:30 PM EST TO ANNOUNCE THE #Morphe35O giveaway winner!

Stream Lining Makeup Part 8 #Foundations & #BBCreams

You

From natural BB creams to high coverage foundations I had it all, however, one person does not need this many. An old favorite is the #GiorgioArmani #LuminousSilkFoundation but it's time to trash it. No time to waste on hanging on to foundation bottles that are basically empty and attempt to scrape every millimeter out (does anyone else do that?) Another one leaving my collection is the #Mac #ProLongWearFoundation (but I'll save this to #BackToMac it!)

Both the #Tarte #BBTintedMoisturizer and the #AmazonianClayFullCoverage were never reached for - will donate to friends and family it is better suited for. Narrowed down the keep pile to one stick foundation (#Makeupforever #HD),  a full coverage foundation #CoverFX #NaturalFinish #OilFreeFoundation, and natural #BareMinerals #ComplexionRescue #TintedHydratingGelCream.

Done!

Hope you enjoyed reading! Let me know what you have decluttered today and what else you would like to see more of on my blog!

Stream Lining Makeup Part 7 - #Mascaras

#DeclutterMode

FYI-Mascara expires after 3 months! It's easy to find yourselves collecting so many mascaras or primers because they usually tend to try up or get lost in your makeup bag. But, take care of your eye health and avoid infection by tossing these bad boys away once they dry up. Here's a tip for those who don't use mascara on a regular basis - get sample sizes of mascara with your #Sephora #points or check out a beauty counter in your local department store. I've tried so many mascaras from #Dior to #Benefit to #Clinique to #Smashbox to #Kiko but at the end of the day I held onto only three (which were my most recently purchased too) #Waterproof Kiko, #DiorShowPumpNVolume, and #DiorPrimer. Got all bases covered.

What have you decluttered today?

Let me know in the comments down below.

Forgive Me

Dear World,

Every year we come to a point where we need to each individually evaluate ourselves. Conscious human beings like to do so in order to move forward in life, to learn from their mistakes and grow from them. After all, life experience is the greatest teacher.

At this time, I personally like to reflect on my previous year. What was rewarding? What was disappointing? A part of moving forward and growing includes forgiveness. Do you forgive that co-worker who acted obnoxiously towards you? Or, more importantly do you forgive yourself for making not such a wise decision?

In order to forgive we must see others or ourselves for their/our strengths and learn to accept them with all their flaws. It's time to elevate others and ourselves and understand that we have not been appointed as judges of a high court, only He has, so let's leave the job to the One it belongs too. Just be the best version yourself and everything else will fall into line.

Summer 2017 #Favorites

This season my motto was "be comfortable." From #Fashion to #Beauty and everything in between my style was #easybreezy yet still #polished.

  1. I was obsessed with wearing my Henri Bendel #jetsetter bag! Why? Because it is so functional yet chic at the same time. You could wear it as a #tophandle, #crossbody / #messenger, or #backpack.
  2. #MarcJacobs #Enamored lipgloss in shade #SugarSugar. Glides on easy and stays on!
  3. #Caudalie #BeautyElixir sets makeup beautifully with a quick spritz.
  4. #DiorShow #PumpNVolume #mascara, because no one has time for falsies!
  5. #Milan #MilanoMarittima where  carefree is defined, loved #shopping by the #Duomo and riding my bike by the seaside with the wind blowing in my hair.
  6. #Denim jackets - so easy to throw on.
  7. #BareMinerals #ComplexionRescue the best BB cream of all time. Enough said.

Stream Lining Makeup - Part 6 #Concealers #UnderEyeBrighteners

#DeclutterMode

Ok, so this next declutter wasn't too bad. I managed to eliminate 50% off what I had. With two under eye brighteners I knew I preferred the #Becca over the #Smashbox. My favorite concealer of all time is the #Nars #RadianceCreamyConcealer but it was finished! No need to hang on to packaging! I also love the #BareMinerals #BareSkinCompleteCoverageSerumConcealer (wow that's a long name!) I'm also almost finished with my #UrbanDecay #NakedSkinConcealer - will hang on to it until it's finished. Saying goodbye to a well-loved #Mac #SelectCoverUp, and an Urban Decay 24/7 #ConcealerPencil. I've heard amazing things about the Tarte #ShapeTape and will bust it open as soon as possible!

Time to donate to friends/family! You can view items from my previous declutters on my Poshmark (user name is @KimberlyM318).

Stream Lining Makeup - Part 5 #EYESHADOW #PALETTES

#DeclutterMode

Question: Does one need 11 eyeshadow palettes?

Answer: Probably not.

The first step consisted of immediately putting the #TARTE Pro, #Tartelette in Bloom, and #KatVonD #Shade+Light Eye Contour Palettes aside.

The next step was to say goodbye to the following: #TheBalm #TheNudeTude -  I learned that I wasn't the biggest fan of this eyeshadow formula compared to others, #TheNudeDude palette hasn't been touched - see my #Poshmark). Also, didn't find the #Clinique eyeshadow formula to be long lasting. The #Smashbox On The Rocks palette did have an amazing range of colors, but I wasn't reaching for them. It was hard to let go of the #Dior palette, well truthfully because it was Dior. The trickiest part was going through the #UrbanDecay eyeshadow palettes. Has anyone else noticed a discrepancy with the formula of the #VicePalettes compared to the #NakedPalettes? I ended just keeping the original Naked palette.

Time to donate to friends/family and sell on my Poshmark (user name is @KimberlyM318).

Kimberly Malka

Stream Lining Makeup - Part 4 Powder Highlighters

#DeclutterMode!

Here we go again. As per usual, when trying to minimize your collection, begin with setting aside your favorites like #BeccaChampagnePop. Of course, that means I have to keep the #BeccaXJaclynHill Palette as well. It was time to say goodbye to the highlighter with the cutest packaging, #TheBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer, however, not so flattering undertone for my skin tone. Also, I accepted that you have to let go of things you aren't using even if they were expensive, or Limited Edition. Like the #BOBBIBROWN #ShimmerBrick Compact in the shade Pink. If this shade suits you check out my #Poshmark (user name is @KimberlyM318).

Happy shopping!

Streaming Lining Makeup Part 2 - Blush

#DeclutterMode

It's time to trim the fat! No one needs this many blush! I've had a tendency to collect blush based on my favorite, long wearing formulas which mainly consist of #Tarte, #TheBalm, #Clinique, and a pinch of #bareMinerals. After closely examining all 20 blushes I realized I don't need every single color of the rainbow, especially since half of them don't suit my skin tone! I decided to keep more nude, peachy/pink blushes. This included my favorite #HolyGrail status TARTE Exposed, and TheBalm's HotMama.  After putting my faves aside, I swatched the others and here is the end result. Now it's time to share with family and friends and/or put on my #Poshmark (@KimberlyM318) for sale. Happy shopping!

Keep smiling,

Kimberly Malka

Stream Lining Makeup - Part 3 #Bronzer/Contour Kits

#DeclutterMode

Step 1: Keep my fave #KevynAucoin Sculpting Powder in shade Medium, and my fave formula of bronzer #TooFaced.

STEP 2: Do I really need all of this? Saying goodbye to about 70% of my bronzer collection.

STEP 3: Let go of items I haven't been reaching for. Shop my #Poshmark to get these babies in your collection now at sick prices!

Keep smiling,

Streamlining Makeup Part 1 - Primers

#DeclutterMode
It's time to trim the fat! No one needs this many primers. I decided to cover all bases by keeping a glowy primer (#BeccaCosmetics #BacklightPrimingFilter), hydrating primer (#MarcJacobs #InvisibleUndercoverPerfectingCoconutPrimer), and pore filling primer (#MilkMakeup #BlurStick). Also kept a #travelsize #MakeupForever #Step1 Smoothing Primer). Time to declutter the excess! (Donate/give to friends/family).

What have you decluttered from your makeup collection recently?

#Oops I did it again!

The #Sephora #VIB #Rouge sale got me! With 15% off it was time to re-stock on some necessities (House of Lashes lash glue and beauty blender solid cleanser) try some new products, (#CoverFX Illuminating Setting Spray), and splurge on pricier products  I wouldn't have tried without the discount (#KevynAucoin sculpting powder in the shade medium). At last year's Spring sale, I purchased the #Hourglass trio of powders, and have hit pan on my fave shade #dimlight that I finally purchased it as a single. I love wearing #BareMinerals on the weekend and have gone through countless containers of their Original Foundation, so it was time get a fresh one in my possession. Something new to my collection (but quite delayed) is the #Makeupforever foundation, and I can't wait to finally see what the hype is all about!  PS SUMMER IS COMING! Stock up on #SPF like the #SuperGoop Everyday Sunscreen!

Ok, I think I'm done now...or am I?

#Keys

Good morning world, today is a new day. Time to rise and shine and #unlock your potential on your path to #success. Before you read further into this blog post - disclaimer - I just wanted to say that success can mean many things, it's all relative. Success doesn't necessarily mean monetary wealth, it can be studying for your degree, making new friends, finding your soul mate, or getting hired for your dream job (and that's all relative too).

There are many attributes needed to become successful just like the ingredients in challah.

Warm #water - not too hot, not too cold - to create a #warm home where the understanding of #Torah is present.

#Yeast - it rises and can sometimes #flop if not done correctly, however, when you keep #trying you will #grow  and unlock your potential.

#Sugar - the #sweetness - find the sweetness in your #soul using #kind #words and #generous actions to #love yourself and people as their unique selves.

#Flour - #substance - give meaning to your life by defining it with #good #deeds (#mitzvot).

#Oil - #nobility - think back to ancient times and realize the #worth (and shocking #prices today too) of oil. Oil has a connotation of #honor, remember that! Honor and value yourself!

#Salt - [in my opinion] the most important ingredient. Salt slows down the #OVER #INFLATION OF YEAST! Be aware of your #ego so you do not over inflate! With appropriate measure, share your #talents with the world - not too boastful, but not too #humble.

May you unlock your potential and bake your #challot with much success AND PASS ON THESE KEYS TO SUCCESS TO THE NEXT GENERATION!

Keep smiling,

#Manolo #Blahnik's #Lessons for #Life

Some people may argue that fashion is not an art form. Well, I'm here to convince that it is indeed.
This past Thursday I had the honor of attending Manolo Blahnik's The Art of Shoes" Exhibit in Milan at the Museo di Milano. [In case you were wondering, yes, I did wear my own Manolo's to the museum - the experience wouldn't be the same if I didn't!] On this shoe journey I gained so much insight on the brains and preparation it takes to create such unique shoes. The time, and attention to detail is incredible! (YT Vlog coming soon with more!)
Along with learning about the artistic process in designing and executing the creation of a pair of Blahnik's I gained a new perspective on life via Blahnik's rules to live by. So here live from Milan I forward these unforgettable life lessons to you. Enjoy!

1. Always Look #Impeccable (no matter what.)
2. Always #Check Everything, At Least Twice! Double check! Triple check!
3. Remember to Have Fun! Don't take things too seriously.
4. Be #Curious
5. Keep Going! Even if you make some mistakes, learn from them and keep moving forward.
6. Be #True to your #Style, be true to yourself.

#MakeupHaul

25% off! 30% off!

Does anyone else salivate/go weak in the knees when there's a makeup #sale?!

Over the past few weeks I've been getting bombarded with "Friends & Family" emails and bit the bullet [majorly] when it came to 25% off for #Mac, and 30% off for #Tarte. #March being my #birthday month, I also treated myself at #Sephora/restocked on some necessities.

Soooooo, what did I buy?

First...
#Mac: I thought I was just going to stick to the necessities but, I ended up with a 3 digit number as my total at checkout 🙈. I replenished my #makeup #collection with a bottle of Fix+, and a new 217 blending brush...but then...I got 2 #eyeliners (Eye Kohl in Fascinating, and Chromographic Pencil in NC15/NW20), 4 #lipsticks (Twig, Whirl, Yash, and Rebel) and 22 #eyeshadows - had to get a refill insert for my pro #palette.

Then...
I celebrated my birthday by going to see #GustavKlimt's work at the Neue Galerie (owned by Ronald Lauder) in Manhattan, and couldn't resist buying the #AERIN lipstick in the color "Liebling" which mimicked the color of Adele Bloch-Bauer's kiss in her portrait, the Woman in Gold.

After that...
Sephora: I needed to restock on my #beautyblender solid cleanser to clean my brushes and I got a silicone brush cleansing pad too from #SephoraCollection. I think I was still on a high from being in Ronald Lauder's gallery/buying an AERIN lipstick that I ended up purchasing an #EsteeEdit The Barest Contour Lip Liner in the shade 03 #Exposed just for fun.

And lastly...
Tarte: 30% Friends and Family! It was my moment to finally grab the renowned #ShapeTape concealer and #Tartelette in Bloom palette, and I did!

#LIUB

Dear #World,

Today is Autism Awareness Day. Please wear #blue to spread awareness and acceptance of people with autism today and throughout the month of April. As a special education teacher, this is a cause very near to my heart. Please remember people aren't "autistic," people have autism. There's a difference - please use identity-first language. Words hold more power than you think.

26 on the 18th

#Birthday: the anniversary of the day on which a person was born.

FYI Some people love 'em some people don't.

Initially I was the latter of the two, I'd rather my birthday pass without many noticing, however, over the past few days I've become aware how valuable and short life can be, that my opinion has been evolving. I've come to #realize that every day that you're breathing, eating, walking,  talking, and laughing is reason enough for celebration.

A high point in this year's birthday festivities included seeing  #BeautyAndTheBeast, and it put so many things into perspective, particularly about love.

#Love is so much more than a 4 letter word, and how the world needs so much more of it: #self-love, #romance, #friendships, #passions, #family...Love requires you to be #kind and to #give.

To help you discover you rekindle your life passions that you've always loved, consider asking your younger self to continue doing what exactly? What would you say to develop self-love? What would you say to maintain loving friendships etc...?
At this very moment I wish I could go back in time to my fourth-grader self and say: "you love writing, don't stop!" "You're a smart and beautiful girl, be confident!" "Be yourself - don't overthink!"

So, to all of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself - my name is Kim, my hobbies include #dancing in the halls of AMC theatre to movie credit music, beauty videos on YT, spending time with loved ones, reading (anything from #Kinsella to #Austen), collecting shoes, FAUDA, traveling, #Pilates, obsessively re-organizing drawers, #daydreaming, This is Us, and eating avocado sushi. What? Eating can't be a hobby?!

My birthday wish is for every single one of you is to be happy, stay healthy, love who you are (to be your complete unapologetic selves) and to give and receive love from those that are #worthy... always.

Keep smiling!

Be Happy

The #power of #joy is so immense, however, it takes a lot of effort. #Happiness does not come naturally, especially for women with our never ending lists of daily anxieties. This past Sunday evening I had the pleasure of hearing Rabbanit Yamima Mizrachi speak on how women can be happy and learn how to turn on the #light in #moments of #darkness. Firstly, #eat! A starving woman is angry, don't kill yourselves on insane diets, eat and enjoy. Secondly, put on #music and #move your body! As T. Swift would say "shake it off!" Let those crumbs of #anxiety fall to the ground. Lastly, #dress up as a beautiful #queen, because you are one. #Shopping helps too, it tends to give you the effect of being a #satisfied, #rich #woman! When you look good, you #attract only good fortune #mazal. A woman should feel the way she looks, not look the way she feels. Sometimes, we need to disguise our struggles with a smoldering red lipstick, sky high heels, or a classic LBD to increase our happiness. #Happiness is a by product of how you #live your #life. It's not what you do, but how you do it.

Keep smiling,

Kimberly Malka

Life in 3D

Forgive me, dear readers it's been...awhile since my last blog post. As a self-proclaimed learner of life, I've become aware about how minuscule daily tasks can add up and cause major hardship if they aren't attended to appropriately, in a timely fashion, or not at all. To address such issues I've come to three solutions, which I've coined collectively as the "3D Diet." Many thanks to my niece, for helping me understand how to "eat" on a 3D Diet. Sometimes, we have to learn from children to get a grasp on what's important in life. The moment has come for us all to
Decompress: relieve or reduce pressure on (something). Reduce daily anxieties by staying busy with your hands. Suggestions: adult coloring book, or baking.
Destress: to relax after a period of work or tension. Reduce stress by lighting some candles and taking a hot bath.
Declutter: remove unnecessary items from (an untidy or overcrowded place). Go through your closet and donate what you haven't been wearing! Also, go through your makeup drawers - remember that makeup expires, and you don't need every single blush or lipstick from a particular (since you like the formula of it) because not every color will flatter your complexion.
Let go, and let God.
Keep smiling,
Kimberly Malka

Snow Daze

Greetings from snowed in New York! On this snowy day, I had a chance to sleep in, (and by sleep in I mean 7:30 am compared to 6:00 am) double tap Instagram images, check my email, place items on my wish list for Sephora, read some book reviews, and of course do a bit of work prep for tomorrow. While scrolling through my newsfeed I found this stunning and stylish photo of sultry #SelenaGomez wearing a Victoria Beckham #VBPreAW17 look at the #amFAR event last night. Loving this incredible combination of the mustard yellow knit dresswith a crisp crimson red button down underneath and leopard print sandals. Her hair style was voluminous but not puffy, natural but not messy, carefree but sleek. Gomez proves that you can be #modest and #stylish at the same time.

More Moore

In loving memory of actress, philanthropist, and activist Mary Tyler Moore...

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s
Mary Tyler Moore lit up America with her roles on The Dick Van Dyke Show (starring as Laurie Petrie  - Dick Van Dyke's wife) and The Mary Tyler Moore Show (eponymous - starring as Mary Richards, a strong independent, unmarried woman working as a local news producer). With ease and grace, Moore was breaking stereotypical gender norms and empowering women. Playing roles as the original working girl she encouraged and inspired women of all walks of life to take healthy risks. She also made fashion choices that made statements which have stuck around for quite sometime now. Moore is known for making turtlenecks cool. Her signature looks consisted of capri trousers, turtlenecks, pleated skirts, and high neck sweaters, (which are still staples in just about every woman's wardrobe). Her style wasn't the only thing that made an impact, her words did too.
She once said: "Take chances, make mistakes. That's how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave." So let's all learn from the great Mary Tyler Moore and take chances for what we want in life! Whether it be wearing a fun floppy hat (even though the bouncer outside the bar calls you a grandma for wearing it), or being courageous and making that move (whether it be for your career or personal interest). Life is too short - so give it some more Moore!

Keep smiling,

After the positive feedback and questions from my last post regarding modesty, here is a follow-up piece. Many have expressed an interest in dressing modestly, but don't know how to start. Here are a few tips that can help!

*Remember, this is a process. In my opinion, it is healthiest to do this step-by-step, not overnight. Personally, it took me around 6 years (since I started learning about it) to put into practice full-time.

1. Start Small: Wear skirts once a week in a place where you feel comfortable. For me, the days I would be going to Queens College I wore skirts. There was a very accepting crowd and it was easy to feel like I wasn't an outcast. Eventually, dress modestly, twice a week and so on.

2. Summer Time: Same with the skirts, start small. Move from sleeveless shirts to cap sleeve, then when you're ready a longer sleeve that's bicep length, and when you're ready 3/4 sleeve. Don't rush!

3. IG: Follow modest fashionistas on social media to get inspired and details on where to find such looks. Here are some accounts on Instagram to check out: @fabologist, @tzniutstyle24, @modestlyfab, @the_modestmom, @fashionisha, @stylismodesty, @halachicallyhaute, @tzniut, @myfashionologybyrl, @the_modest_shopper, @tzniutforyou, @themodgame, @lilmissmodest, @modest_rebel, @the_chicleak
Note: You will also find inspiration beyond Instagram in the media. My current obsession is First Lady Melania Trump's powder blue Ralph Lauren inauguration dress, gloves, and heels. So Jackie O, absolutely love the look!

4. Declutter: Re-assess the items in your wardrobe. Some pieces may be salvageable (like a sleeveless dress that can be worn with a long-sleeve collared button down underneath), others may not be. Pick and choose the items you find to appropriately reflect your inner self.

5. Shop 'til You Drop: I've been introduced to some great stores (in the New York area) just by chit-chatting with my friends. Some stores are specifically created for women leading a fashionable and modest life, like @mayasplace, @fameoncentral, and @debbiescloset. You can even check out @Zara and @HM they have some beautiful and affordable modest pieces too!

6. Personal Touch: Glam up or dress down your look with your signature accessories. Remember, you are still the same person, you have just chosen to dress differently. So, add your favorite heels or handbag and make your outfits your own. This is the best way to combine your "past" fashion choices with your new style.

7. Enjoy the Process: Keep in mind that you aren't losing any part of yourself, you are improving! Have fun putting outfits together! Go shopping with your girlfriends! Enjoy every second of it, because you are WORTH IT!

Skirting Around the Question

Two years ago, I made a decision that was life changing. I chose to dress modestly. Translation: no pants - skirts only, slightly higher necklines, and longer length of material covering my arms. Although I do not necessarily follow the exact rules to a T, I do the best I can and I am happy with where I am.

So, what inspired me to dress modestly? I've been skirting around (pun intended) this question for awhile. Some people are irked when the topic of this fashion choice comes to the table, others are in awe. All I know is that I feel comfortable in my own skin, and that's good enough for me.

I started learning about modesty (tzniut) from a religious perspective about 6 years ago. I learned with mentors and friends, and read a few good books (Gila Manolson has some great stuff!). And this is what I've learned...

Firstly, dressing modestly does not mean you are living an oppressive lifestyle. Quite contrary, when you conceal rather than reveal you make a powerful statement, you're telling the world: "I'm more than what meets the eye," and I became incredibly fond of that idea. A certain self-image is projected when you put on particular items of clothing. Your outward appearance is the first thing people notice about you, and the way you dress can elicit various reactions.*

Secondly, and what really intrigued me about modesty was the mystery behind it all. What is concealed is perceived as being something more valuable. Think about it like this: your favorite Manolo Blahnik heels are never thrown at the back of your shoe shelf, rather they are kept inside their perfect box, inside a dust bag, with tissue paper wrapped all around the outside and inside to keep it in mint condition. Why? Because they're beautiful, precious, and expensive. Wouldn't it be great if we treated our bodies the same way?

Thirdly, I feel incredibly connected to the significance of regality in modesty. We are the children of the King of Kings, so that makes us royalty (fun fact - my middle name translates to "queen" in Hebrew). Think of how the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton carries herself. How she presented herself in the famous long sleeve lace Alexander McQueen wedding gown made the globe believe she was a princess prior to her nuptials.

Lastly, I'm a girly-girl obsessed with skirts and dresses. I do not feel limited by my options (there are tons of skirt designs from A-Line to pencil), and love mixing and matching different pieces together.

Bottom line is, even though this is a fun and open space where we can talk about the latest trends in fashion and beauty, each and every single one of us is a soul and we need to allow our inner selves and true identities shine through by using fashion as a tool to dress for success!

Tick Tock

This blog post is dedicated to everyone out there who has faced rejection or has gone through a rough patch and has come up on top.

Didn't get the job but that annoying chick who loudly chews gum did? S/He didn't text you back and isn't interested in you? New Dior shoes that you got at a crazy price gets lost with the parcel delivery service? So what!

The saying goes as follows: "When one door closes, another [better] one opens." Truly deep and wise words that can inspire you to pick up the pieces when things haven't been going the way you thought it would.

Day by day things happen in a way that initially appears not be in our favor, however, in the long run everything works out the way it is supposed to in the most individualized, optimal way for each and every one of us.

So, just take a moment and deeply breathe in and out. Seriously, do it. It will make you feel better. Recognize that even though what currently might seem like a disaster or that nothing is working out in your best interests, you are still worth it. You deserve #happiness and #success, and will gain it if you continue to #believe in yourself and do not allow yourself to be petty and wallow in the darkness of your troubles. Just because someone else got the job doesn't mean that you're unworthy of a promotion, something more substantial that suits your strengths and interests will come along. You can see that s/he read your whatsapp message and hasn't answered in 72 hours? Move along! That just means that s/he is not qualified to be someone special or compatible for you. Shoes mysteriously vanish from delivery truck? Get your refund and remember you'll find something that fits you and your taste, and will be at
the right price!

It's all about a matter of #time. While you power through this stage, reflect and reframe the dialogue you have in your mind about yourself which will either make you, or break you. Remember, you are right where you supposed to be, so be happy - it drives people crazy!

Fashion = Style = Kindness = Happiness

What is fashion? If you look up its definition you'll find that its a noun and a verb. Fashion is not only a style of dress or manner of speaking, it's also a way of forming, shaping, or accommodating.

The best fashion tip I could offer anyone, man, woman, or child is as Ellen Degeneres would say: "to be kind to one another." Kindness is always in style. It is also one of the most amazing secrets I have learned in order to live a meaningful, fulfilling, and happy life.

You never really know what is going on in the lives of those around you, and sometimes something as simple as holding the door for the person behind you, or offering a helping hand can make all the difference. Dedicating your time to help those that are in need is so rewarding. When you do good, you feel good and that type of energy is contagious!

By doing an act of kindness you are making a positive impact which encourages the witnesses of your small or large act to do the same. I've learned this from a special girl who is truly the cover girl of heroism and defiance. Ruchama Sara Miryam, RSM, or Sara for short is a unique soul who has conquered so much at such a young age. When she was just 7 years-old, Sara got the flu which led to long, repeated hospital stays. At one point, Sara was in the hospital for over a year! She has gone through two organ transplants, and two lower extremity amputations and has continued to battle the adverse effects of not-so-minor ear infections. Despite all of these factors, beautiful Sara radiates the world with positivity.  Here is an excerpt from this incredible writer's "end of the year" speech that she delivered to her 8th grade class at Bnos Bais Yaakov:

"United, accepting, and compassionate are the first three words that come to mind when I think of our grade. Most people that saw me after my hospital escapade were kind of in shock. You all just accepted me for who I was and who I became. You never changed what you thought of me on my appearance, or my capability. While I was in the hospital I read through all of the letters you sent me, they help sustain me they kept me going. Because I know that once I was better I would be able to return back to my same friends, same family, same life. One time, Miss Young brought Ariella, Shayna and Avigail to the hospital. We dressed up in weird costumes and paraded around the room like weirdos, taking pictures and just having a good time. These little things made me feel so alive and hopeful that I was going to get out of this, I was going to survive. But I never thought I would make it this far thank you for believing in me."

An inspiration and role model to us all, her story needs to be shared! That's why @EllenDegeneres @TheEllenShow needs to meet this one-of-a-kind, brave girl. Let's get RSM (Sara) to Ellen DeGeneres!
