26 on the 18th

#Birthday: the anniversary of the day on which a person was born.

FYI Some people love 'em some people don't.

Initially I was the latter of the two, I'd rather my birthday pass without many noticing, however, over the past few days I've become aware how valuable and short life can be, that my opinion has been evolving. I've come to #realize that every day that you're breathing, eating, walking,  talking, and laughing is reason enough for celebration.

A high point in this year's birthday festivities included seeing  #BeautyAndTheBeast, and it put so many things into perspective, particularly about love.

#Love is so much more than a 4 letter word, and how the world needs so much more of it: #self-love, #romance, #friendships, #passions, #family...Love requires you to be #kind and to #give.

To help you discover you rekindle your life passions that you've always loved, consider asking your younger self to continue doing what exactly? What would you say to develop self-love? What would you say to maintain loving friendships etc...?
At this very moment I wish I could go back in time to my fourth-grader self and say: "you love writing, don't stop!" "You're a smart and beautiful girl, be confident!" "Be yourself - don't overthink!"

So, to all of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself - my name is Kim, my hobbies include #dancing in the halls of AMC theatre to movie credit music, beauty videos on YT, spending time with loved ones, reading (anything from #Kinsella to #Austen), collecting shoes, FAUDA, traveling, #Pilates, obsessively re-organizing drawers, #daydreaming, This is Us, and eating avocado sushi. What? Eating can't be a hobby?!

My birthday wish is for every single one of you is to be happy, stay healthy, love who you are (to be your complete unapologetic selves) and to give and receive love from those that are #worthy... always.

Keep smiling!

Be Happy

The #power of #joy is so immense, however, it takes a lot of effort. #Happiness does not come naturally, especially for women with our never ending lists of daily anxieties. This past Sunday evening I had the pleasure of hearing Rabbanit Yamima Mizrachi speak on how women can be happy and learn how to turn on the #light in #moments of #darkness. Firstly, #eat! A starving woman is angry, don't kill yourselves on insane diets, eat and enjoy. Secondly, put on #music and #move your body! As T. Swift would say "shake it off!" Let those crumbs of #anxiety fall to the ground. Lastly, #dress up as a beautiful #queen, because you are one. #Shopping helps too, it tends to give you the effect of being a #satisfied, #rich #woman! When you look good, you #attract only good fortune #mazal. A woman should feel the way she looks, not look the way she feels. Sometimes, we need to disguise our struggles with a smoldering red lipstick, sky high heels, or a classic LBD to increase our happiness. #Happiness is a by product of how you #live your #life. It's not what you do, but how you do it.

Keep smiling,
