Today is Autism Awareness Day. Please wear #blue to spread awareness and acceptance of people with autism today and throughout the month of April. As a special education teacher, this is a cause very near to my heart. Please remember people aren't "autistic," people have autism. There's a difference - please use identity-first language. Words hold more power than you think.
Keep smiling,
Kimberly Malka
